Distribution Central to provide reseller partners with solutions designed to improve efficiency, performance and security
Brocade® (Nasdaq: BRCD) today announced that it has appointed Distribution Central as a strategic distribution partner in Australia for its enterprise Ethernet and IP networking products. Brocade selected Distribution Central for its ability to efficiently deliver networking solutions to channel reseller partners, as well as their extensive knowledge, skills, and expertise in the networking and storage industry.
“Brocade is pleased to be partnering with Distribution Central in order to expand our route to market for our industry-leading networking products,” said Graham Schultz, country manager for Australia and New Zealand at Brocade. “Australian reseller channel partners will now be able to leverage Distribution Central’s extensive IP networking product expertise and support to help their customers build extraordinary networks.”
“Strong data solutions are important to improve efficiency, performance and security as customers become more wirelessly connected and network-centric,” said Nick Verykios, sales and marketing director at Distribution Central. “The Australian networking market is being driven by the need for efficient and cost-effective data access and management capabilities and as a result, the network is shifting to the data centre with less reliance on traditional network infrastructure.
“IP networking products from Brocade will offer our reseller partners an exceptional opportunity to support their customers’ requirements and we anticipate a very successful partnership.”
As part of its go-to-market strategy, Distribution Central will deliver Brocade IP networking products to channel resellers through its SAN Systems™ Business Unit complementing its existing network offerings and other emerging solutions such as iSCSI and Fibre Channel (FC) for storage. Distribution Central will also provide Brocade resellers with pre-sales, technical support, post-sales field support, partner rebates, training, and channel demand generation activities.
Brocade IP networking products which will be distributed by Distribution Central include Layer 2/3 fixed- and chassis-based switches, Layer 4-7 Application Delivery Switches, Wireless LAN Products, Network Adaptors and Management Systems.
Brocade will continue to distribute its storage networking products through Lynx Technologies, as well as working with global OEM partners and their channel partners.
The inclusion of Distribution Central is a key element of the Brocade Alliance Partner Network (APN), which was announced earlier this year. The Brocade APN Program consists of four distinct partnership levels: Distributor, Elite, Premier, and Select. All levels have been designed with specific requirements and benefits to help partners leverage and be rewarded for their networking product knowledge and solution support expertise. As part of this partner-enablement strategy, Brocade will provide its partners with deal registration to help ensure project and investment protection. In addition, Brocade has dedicated sales, marketing, and technical support offerings to help ensure profitable partnership engagement.
