Opens new office and increases head count to meet market demand
Brocade® (NASDAQ:BRCD) today announced the opening of its Canberra based office for federal business and welcomed the appointment of seven new staff members in response to an increase in demand for its products and services.
The new staff will work from the Sydney and Canberra offices across IP sales, technical support, account and channel management. The new appointments include Adam Doyle (Pre Sales, IP, Federal Government), Pat Devlin (Enterprise Sales, IP, NSW), Chris Bull (Service Provider, Australia and New Zealand), Christian Navarette (Channel Manager, Volume, Australia and New Zealand), Jason Finlayson (Channel Manager, Value, Australia and New Zealand), Ben Stewart (Technical Support Engineer, IP) and Bernie Parczyk ( Support Account Manager, Australia and New Zealand).
In addition to the new staff appointments, existing Brocade employee Mick Slack and Trevor Jones will move to a newly created role taking responsibility at Brocade for Hewlett-Packard ES across Asia Pacific.
Brocade’s new Canberra based office is dedicated to federal business, and will support Brocade’s Federal Government business. Brocade already has established offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland.
Graham Schultz, Brocade’s Regional Director - Australia & New Zealand, said: “We are delighted with the growth of Brocade in Australia. We have seen a strong increase in IP related customer enquiries following our recent Brocade One announcement and the newly expanded team will help us meet demand.
“Federal Government business is an important focus for us and the addition of the new Canberra based office is a significant step in the right direction for Brocade’s federal business,” said Mr Schultz.
Brocade has also announced it will be looking to appoint an additional four people in the coming quarter. The positions available include Application Delivery Products Sales, Application Delivery Products Systems Engineering, Regional Sales Manager and Strategic Account Manager.
