iPrimus today announced its first fully operational pioneer customer has been connected to the National Broadband Network in Midway Point, Tasmania.
iPrimus General Manager of Marketing and Products, Andrew Sims stated: “This is a fantastic and significant milestone for Tasmania and iPrimus. The installation, set-up and coordination went well which is a testament to the hard work and effort of everyone involved.”
The iPrimus Extreme 100Mbps service was installed during the day at the customer premises and a successful connection to the internet was made by the customer yesterday afternoon.
Mark, the first fully operational iPrimus customer said: “We have a PC, two laptops and a few gaming consoles, so having everything online at once and all working fast is critical to us. We are definitely looking forward to streaming TV and movies in the future.”
Mark added: “We have been with Primus for eleven years and the customer service we receive has always been excellent.”
This initial connection forms part of a number of pioneer customers that are being connected ahead of the official launch to test processes and procedures.
“These walkthroughs are important to ensure when services are activated en-mass, that the processes and procedures are correct and we have seamless service delivery,” Sims said.
iPrimus customer Mark also noted: “The Internet and whole IT business is improving at an outstanding rate and high-speed broadband is the way of the future and the faster we get on board the better.”
The initial response to iPrimus’ Fibre to the Home offerings in Midway Point, Scottsdale and Smithton has exceeded the company’s expectations, largely due to the fantastic value offers that that until now have been unavailable in Tasmania, such as the iPrimus Max Broadband and Telephone bundle, which offers included call value and generous download allowance.
