Adconion Media Group continues to expand its presence in Australia, announcing the company has appointed Jonathan Smith as Victorian State Sales Director, reporting to National Sales Director, Anthony Mogensen.
Responsible for driving the dedicated sales teams across Adconion Direct and the brand marketing Joost digital distribution platforms, Jonathan will be focused on increasing the level of engagement with media and creative agencies in the Victorian market.
Smith has over 14 years industry experience and a strong network of agency relationships across the state. Starting his career in 1997 with Cody Outdoor (APN), Jonathan then moved across to Eye Corp before branching into cinema with FACE Media, helping to build it from start up.
After nearly seven years building his networks and relationships with Victoria’s major advertisers and media agencies in these offline roles, Jonathan made the transition to digital. He held roles with s ninemsn and Yahoo7 before progressing to the role of Sales Director, Victoria for News Digital Media.
During a tenure of nearly four years with NDM, Jonathan was responsible for nurturing a growing sales team and managing them to successfully and substantially increasing Melbourne market share. However the lure of a more integrated and collaborative working model at Adconion drew Jonathon to accept his current role.
