Rodd Cunico has been named as chief executive officer (CEO) of Dimension Data Australia’s systems integration business, following Steve Nola’s appointment to the global role of group CEO of Dimension Data’s newly-formed Cloud Solutions business unit.
Mr Cunico will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Australian systems integration business – which operates as Dimension Data – reporting to Mr Nola. He will also represent the Australian systems integration business on Dimension Data’s Global Executive Committee.
Mr Nola will remain based in Australia, and will continue to provide executive oversight of the Dimension Data Australia group of companies.
Mr Cunico brings tremendous skills and experience in general management, leadership, sales, and a broad understanding of business to his new role. He also has over 25 years’ experience in the IT industry, having joined Dimension Data in 1997, after 11 years in various roles at Telstra.
“Rodd has been a fantastic leader for Dimension Data, running our Southern Region operations for the best part of the last decade,” says Mr Nola. “I’ve worked closely with Rodd since he joined the company, and I believe that under his leadership Dimension Data will continue to grow and prosper as an IT services and solutions provider in the Australian market.”
Prior to his appointment as CEO, Mr Cunico was director of sales operations and southern region manager. Responsible for all day-to-day aspects of the Australian sales force, and for all operational aspects of Dimension Data’s business in the southern region (Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and Tasmania).
