IAB Australia has announced that it will host a practical Advertising Regulation and Compliance 101 webinar to walk members through the key government regulations and industry self-regulatory frameworks that will underpin advertising compliance in Australia this year.
The one-hour session will be led by Sarah Kruger, IAB Australia Director of Policy and Regulatory Affairs on Monday 10th February 2026 and is available free of charge for IAB members.
Advertising Regulation and Compliance 101 will provide a clear overview of how responsibilities are shared across advertisers, agencies, publishers, platforms and technology providers. It will clarify Australian Consumer Law, outline how industry self-regulatory codes are administered by Ad Standards and how they operate alongside legislation, and flag areas of emerging regulatory focus. The session will also explore industry specific legislation around electoral communications, gambling, and therapeutic goods and medicine including in relation to social media.
