Dimension Data Australia names new Director of Solutions

Dimension Data also names two additional senior executive appointments

Dimension Data Australia, the ICT services and solutions provider, today announced that Neil Campbell has been appointed Director of Solutions, Australia.

Campbell, who brings more than 20 years’ experience to the role, has worked with Dimension Data for ten years.  For the past four years, he held the position of General Manager of Security, Global, leading a 600-strong team and holding responsibility for more than 6,000 clients across 51 countries, including many of the world's biggest companies.

In his new role as Director of Solutions, Neil will manage the go-to market strategy for all solutions offerings including security, converged communications, customer interactive solutions, data centre solutions, Microsoft solutions and network integration. He will also manage vendor and partner relationships.

“I am thrilled to welcome Neil back into the Australian team and look forward to him sharing the global perspective that he has gained in working across all our regions,” said Rodd Cunico, CEO of Dimension Data Australia.

“Neil’s emphasis on maintaining and growing intellectual property, and engaging our clients through a consultative-led approach will help drive the success of our solutions business, as it has the global business he has run so successfully.”

Campbell joined Dimension Data Australia in 2002 as General Manager for the Security line of business, growing the division to the point where it was, and continues to be, recognised by partners, analysts and clients as a leader in the Australian market. Campbell moved to the UK as Security Director, Europe, in 2007, before becoming Global General Manager, Security in 2008. He started his career with the Australian Federal Police in 1989, working in the general crime division before moving to specialise in cybercrime.

Campbell replaces Duncan Brown who became Director of Services in October 2011.

Additionally, Dimension Data has named Darren O’Loughlin as General Manager for Connectivity and Security and Jason Ha as National Manager for Security.

O’Loughlin has been with Dimension Data since 2003, previously as General Manager, Security. Before joining private enterprise, initially as a Director at Ernst & Young, O’Loughlin spent nearly 16 years with Victoria Police, leaving as a Detective Senior Constable in 1999.

Jason Ha joined Dimension Data in 2005 as a security engineer. Since then, he has held several technical and business development roles and, most recently, the Southern Region Practice Manager for the Security line of business.  In his new role, Jason is responsible for the growth of Dimension Data’s security business across all regions in Australia.
