TNZI expands presence into Asia

Expanded network enables inter-regional business across the USA, Europe and Asia for TNZI customers

TNZI today announced it has acquired carrier licences in Hong Kong and USA, further strengthening its wholesale voice business and network reach in these markets. Combined with TNZI’s recent significant investment into network capacity expansion, this makes it the go-to network for US and European carriers and RSPs to expand into new markets, particularly Asia Pacific, while maintaining high reliability and quality.

“TNZI is focussing on one of the fastest growing regions in the world – Asia –enabling our customers to expand and add value to their operations in this region. With the acquisition of these licences, our global network provides a key path for reliable delivery of calls in the Asian region, which has historically been challenging for many European and US-based telcos to reach,” said TNZI President Tim Dunning.

TNZI is a tier 1 provider of international voice services and global carrier software. The network delivers worldwide A-Z voice termination, specialising in termination to the Asia-Pac region, toll free and geographic numbers, managed SIP trunks and real-time toll fraud protection with Symbio’s TollShield solution.

In September last year TNZI invested $NZ5 million in capital expenditure to drive a significant capacity expansion program: an upgrade to its existing London, Los Angeles, Sydney and Auckland PoPs; the creation of two new PoP facilities in Hong Kong and Singapore to better serve the Asian market; and the introduction of a new-generation SaaS product suite.

Today’s announcement demonstrates TNZI’s commitment to continuously improve its service offering whilst providing better quality and more direct routing to high growth regions for its customers.
