Data Exchange Networks Appoints Independent Director with Extensive Technical and Data Centre Experience in Asia


Data Centre heavy weight John Duffin appointed independent director

Data Exchange Network Limited (ASX: DXN), Australia’s first truly modular data centre operator offering colocation services, has added John Duffin to its board as a non-executive director. John’s in-depth experience throughout Asia will be invaluable as the Company develops its strategy and governance framework for data centre deployments in Australia and Asia.  John will inform and guide DXN’s executive management team as they expand their innovative modular data centre solutions into the region. 

John Duffin has over 20 years’ experience in the Asian data centre industry, most recently as the South Asia Managing Director of the Uptime Institute, the IT industry’s most trusted and adopted global standard for the design, build and operation of reliable data centres.

He has a vast network and wealth of knowledge that will be invaluable to Data Exchange Network’s strategic business operations.”

John is a Chartered Engineer with experience in mechanical and electrical engineering design, consultancy and business operations throughout Asia, Japan, Australia and the UK. Prior to joining the Uptime Institute, he was Technical Director at AECOM and held a variety of senior roles in companies including Arup, DSCO Group Ltd and Level3 Communications.

Data Exchange is poised to become the only developer in the world able to deliver Tier-III and Tier-IV, pre-fabricated modular data centres. It is currently building two colocation centres in Melbourne and Sydney with a pipeline of additional data centres slated for development throughout 2019/20.

John’s tenure with DXN formally commenced in October 2018.
