Seagate Delivers Industry’s Highest Capacity Hard Drives with Next-Generation Mozaic™ 4+

Channel Life

Seagate has begun volume shipments of its Mozaic 4+ platform, a HAMR-based hard drive technology supporting capacities of up to 44TB. The article positions the launch as a response to the rapid growth of AI data, as hyperscalers look for more efficient ways to store, retain and reactivate large datasets at scale. With a roadmap toward higher areal density and future drives of up to 100TB, Mozaic 4+ demonstrates how mass-capacity storage is becoming a critical part of AI infrastructure, data centre efficiency and long-term data economics.

“Seagate's HAMR-based Mozaic products deliver the scale, performance, and efficiency customers need to unlock the full potential of their data.” - Dave Mosley, Chair and Chief Executive Officer, Seagate
