‘Keep Some Powder Dry’: Magnite’s Yael Milbank Urges Media Buyers Not To Exhaust Sporting Budgets Too Early

Yael Milbank, Managing Director ANZ, Magnite, in B&T

Every major sporting moment puts media buyers under the same pressure to lock in inventory early or risk missing out. The problem is spending the whole budget on the moments everyone can see coming, then having nothing left when an unpredictable one arrives, be it a decider, an upset, or a match that goes to extra time.

We used the overlap between State of Origin and the FIFA World Cup to get Yael Milbank in front of B&T to give his informed advice to media buyers on how to balance their budget. The piece ran as Origin game two kicked off and right as the Socceroos’ World Cup run was driving unusually high daytime streaming numbers. That gave Magnite a timely, practical voice in conversations advertisers were already having.

Seagate | Paid podcast interview on Fear & Greed

Q+A: AI is creating a data explosion – and most businesses aren’t ready

Jeff Park, Country Manager ANZ, Seagate Technology, in conversation with Sean Aylmer on Fear & Greed

Seagate needed to support the launch of Mozaic 4+, their new high-density storage platform. A straight product story would have reached storage buyers and stopped there. We saw the opportunity to take it further, positioning data storage and infrastructure as a strategic decision for the C-suite, not just a technical one for IT.

Jeff Park joined Sean Aylmer on Fear & Greed to make that case directly to Australian business decision-makers and tech leaders. As AI reshapes infrastructure demand, data is the foundation that makes meaningful business outcomes possible, and it only delivers value if it’s managed and stored properly. We also brought in the live conversation about data centres and energy use, tying infrastructure readiness to how organisations compete and innovate in the AI era.

The Hardest Job in CX Just Got Legal Protection. Is Your Centre Ready?

Kate Zawerucha, Director, GTM Strategy APAC, Verint, in TelcoNews Australia

Every Australian jurisdiction has psychosocial risk regulation in force, and regulators have named it an enforcement priority for 2026.  That means contact centre workload design is now also a legal question, not just an HR one, a shift most contact centre leaders haven’t fully reckoned with yet.

When we found out that Kate was participating in a panel discussion on this topic during one of our regular WIPs, with no media in the room, we immediately recognised that this was a subject worth developing further. Kate walked us through her notes to help shape the argument. We then brought in Melissa Sutton, a contact centre and CX executive who recently led a customer experience centre at a large Australian insurer, to give the piece an independent voice readers and regulators would trust. That mix of expert byline and outside validation turned a panel discussion into a strong piece of thought leadership.
