Research finds online video advertising results in up to 51 percent increase in unaided brand awareness for Weight Watchers

Online video advertising has an exceptionally positive impact on brand metrics when combined with standard display advertising according to research released today by IAB Australia and Dynamic Logic. The research, which was conducted for Weight Watchers, found that the combination of online video with standard display resulted in unaided brand awareness rising by 38 per cent, compared with a 10 per cent increase for those exposed to standard display only and 20 per cent increase for online video advertising only.

Online Advertising continues to achieve strong year on year growth

The Australian online advertising market continues to record strong growth with online advertising expenditure for the March quarter 2010 growing by an impressive 17 per cent year on year, according to data released today by IAB Australia in its Online Advertising Expenditure Report (OAER) compiled by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). Online expenditure for the first three months of 2010 totalled $512.5 million, unchanged from the fourth quarter 2009.
